Bob received his Bachelor's Degree from Colorado College and Masters Degree from the University of Colorado. Bob taught at South and Central and was Activities Director at both Central and Centennial. While he was Activities Director at Central, the athletic programs finally saw the inclusion of girl's sports.
Bob has served as President of the Pueblo Tennis Club, member of the Pueblo City Parks and Recreation Tennis Advisory Committee, recipient of Dale R. Hill Trophy for Tennis Contributions, and directed City Parks and Recreation Tennis Program, still an ongoing program for the children of Pueblo. Bob is part of the group of individuals who are primarily responsible for the City Park Tennis Complex. To this day the facility is the best community complex in Colorado and has been the site of many State Championship Tournaments.
In 1978, Bob was inducted into the Greater Pueblo Sports Association Hall of Fame. He had been associated with GPSA for years and has produced the audio-visual presentation for new inductees for many years.
Since retiring from "Paying Jobs" he has been involved with Sonrise Church and with others oversaw the fund-raising and construction of their new building in Pueblo West. He still serves on their stewardship and men's groups.
Bob helps prepare and deliver Meals on Wheels for seniors in our city. His volunteer help with
the program earned him the award of Volunteer of The Year from the Pueblo Chieftain.
